Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Unidirectional (UD) fabric is a high-performance material made from parallel strands of UHMWPE fibers aligned in a single direction. This alignment maximizes the strength and stiffness of the fabric in that direction, while also retaining the fibers’ inherent properties such as lightweight, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion, impact, and chemicals.
UHMWPE fibers are extremely strong and lightweight, offering high tensile strength while maintaining flexibility. They are highly resistant to abrasion, impact, chemicals, and UV radiation. These fibers also have a low density, making them float on water.

Application
Used in applications that require lightweight yet durable materials, such as personal protective equipment (bulletproof vests, helmets), ropes and cables, cut-resistant gloves, marine applications, and sports equipment. UHMWPE fibers are also used in medical applications, such as in orthopedic implants.
