Basalt Roving is a bundle of continuous filaments combined into a discrete strand and wound into a cylindrical package without twist. Single-End Direct-Roving is composed of single fibers, which are spooled direct after handling with sizing. All fibers shows thereby the same tension. This product is mainly recommended to customers engaged in pultrusion process where requirements regarding catenary are critical. Roving with reduced catenary will make possible to realize by 100% high mechanical properties of Basfiber and completely eliminate the issue with loops formation during processing. Advanced mechanical properties and chemical resistance of Basfiber allow to make stiffer and stronger products, more corrosion resistive but less expensive than special glass and carbon reinforced products.
