Spread Tow Carbon Fiber Fabric is a type of Ultra lightweight fabric.
Its production involves spreading a Carbon fiber tow in thin and flat unidirectional tape and then weaving the tapes to a woven Spread Tow Fabric.
This technique increases the mechanical properties of the material while reducing weight of the composites.
The result is a fabric that is flatter than a conventional woven cloth with less of the crimp that occurs each time warp and weft tows intersect each other.
This reduced crimp means that spread tow fabrics can provide marginal stiffness advantages, as well as reduced print onto the laminate’s surface.
Characteristic:
Increase the carbon fiber density in a specific volume.
Reduce carbon fiber bending.Enhance the tensile strength and fiber density of carbon fiber composites.
The fabric is thin, flat and reduces the resin content in composite process thereby reducing the weight of the material.
It is 20% lighter than the traditional carbon fiber reinforced materials and have excellent surface polishability.
This is special fabric made by 12K carbon fiber yarn.
